The Council of Catholic Women is an organization open to all women who belong to Assumption B.V.M. Parish.
The Council of Catholic Women (C.C.W.) objectives are to support the Christian home and the education of children in a spiritual way. Members assist one another by means of prayer, acts of charity, visits and household help to any sick member and her family, or in various other ways as needs are presented. The C.C.W. collaborates with the pastor, by rendering assistance in various endeavors for the welfare of the parish.
We hold four meetings throughout the year. In addition we sponsor two bake sales, which help us to provide assistance in meeting the needs of the parish.
At our annual breakfast we surprise a “Woman of the Year.” All CCW members nominate a member they feel is deserving of the honor, as evidenced by the nominee’s dedication to and involvement with her family, parish, and community. The 2007 Woman of the Year is Pat Nowak.
